ubisapdesign is a new firm located in Greece, guided by true passion and endless enthousiasm for design. Our team consist of people who show continous interest in architecture, product and interior design, art, ecology, mathematics and technological inventions. Although the purpose of this "blogging" site is to present our work and ideas (concepts or not), feel free to contact us for any further details, project development or just some thoughts.

PS: ubisap is the word that can be read if the word design is turned 180°, so ubisap means design sawy by a different point of view!

BOOMER sofa & BOMERINI chair

"boomer" is a new 2,5 seat sofa with a dynamic shape that refers to boomerang. It is made of a metallic frame, fabric and a solid plexiglass leg, that gives the impression it is free-standing.

BOOMER is being manufactured in Norway (High-End Segment) and can be found at http://www.furnituredesignmarket.com/ . It can be ordered at a minimum number of five pieces.

"boomerini" is a small lounge chair with the same form, but different material characteristics like leather and stainless-steel.

cubersum

This is a new study in creating more flexible living spaces, that can provide multiple functionalities. It has a simple cubic form just like a small typical room (measures 3,20X3,00X3,00 m), but in this case "cubersum" aims to be the only room in the house. So, "cubersum" is a complex living system, designed in terms of user friendliness and it is exactly opposite of being "cumbersome"!

Kitchen forms and trends are constantly changing in a matter of being more aesthetically and functionally free, in order to become a living point of our everyday activities in a multifunctional living area. Our new firm “ubisapdesign” has designed this small triangle kitchen (STRIKIT) as a concept for a small apartment which is under renovation and although each side’s length is only 1,40 m, it seems to have all the necessary equipments and features for ... serious cooking.

tartaruga is a concept for a solar powered compact yacht. Its length is only 30 feet but it can comfortably accommodate 4 persons.

With a 40 sqm area of independed photovoltaic panels supported by high-efficient batteries can achieve 7 knots speed which is also the average speed of common sailing boats.

Its multifunctional interior can be transformed from a common dining table to a driving-seating position and a double bed for resting while watching the sea and the sky. The boat has one double bed and two-single beds in two seperate areas, a fully equiped kitchen, a large muti-storage area and a bathroom with shower.

cooking-dining-living converged

The concept of cooking-dining-living all in one compact and functional structure is always a hard but challenging task. This is such an attempt to converge all these functions in a single furniture, with carefully designed moving parts and selected materials. The dimensions of this structure are 250(L)x90(W)x230(H) cm.

The whole concept can be easily divided in 3 areas: (a)the kithen for cooking that functions when you standing only on the one side of the structure, (b)the table for dining which is placed in the structure and (c)the couch and the bookcase for living that function when you are on the other side of the structure.

eaSYstem furniture (competition entry)

eaSYstem is a modular furniture system and it consists only of one element; a unique special piece. Its construction materials (alluminium and bent plywood), its shape and its dimensions (400x350x100&25 mm) could have as a result the creation of potentially unlimited interesting combinations. Only some of them can be shown in the following picture and as the name suggests this system aim is to be easy (as possible) in terms of mounting and function. The joints and hinges are spesially designed to ensure the stability and solidity of every structural combination.

This concept was an entry for furniture design international competition of DROMEAS.

ROCO furniture

The new ROCO furniture represents the Ring Of COmmunication. The aim of this product is to enhance all types of communication; passive or active, with or without the use of technology.

Its simply, solid and lightweight shape ensures its multifunctional characteristics. Its dimensions are 220X200X85 cm (external radius is 110 cm) and it is mainly made of plastic, so it can be easily lifted, rolled and pass through almost every door.

In the middle of the table is integrated a 36" touch screen, which can operate as a high-efficient computer or a classic TV. Finally, it can be used as a meeting point in an office or as a multifunctional living area at home.
